Institute of Cognitive Neurosciences Develops Interactive Map-Navigator of Laboratories in Neurobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience
A team of young scientists from the HSE University’s Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience has created “Scientists’ Multiverse” — a series of comics, videos, and quizzes highlighting the achievements of Russian neurobiologists and psychophysiologists. Developed in 2025 with support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the project aims to make complex science more accessible and engaging for young people. Its final product is an interactive laboratory map designed to help students and early-career researchers navigate opportunities in the field.

The goal of the project is to present the scientific discoveries of outstanding Russian scientists and contemporary researchers in neurobiology, psychophysiology, and cognitive neuroscience through comics — a format that resonates with young audiences. The graphic stories are complemented by engaging videos and quizzes.
The final deliverable is an interactive laboratory map-navigator for neurobiology and cognitive neuroscience (https://neurolabsmap.ru/). The map shows the geographic location of laboratories, provides brief descriptions of their research focus, and includes contact details. It is designed to help young researchers and students easily find laboratories that match their qualifications and scientific interests.
