'Cross-Language Interplay in a Bilingual Mind' and I-Brain Erasmus+
Organized by Higher School of Economics – National Research University (Moscow, Russia) and Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris (Paris, France)
We are pleased to invite you to a mini-series of events titled “Cognition, Communication, Computation, and Perception”, which will be hosted by the Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience, Higher School of Economics, Moscow. The CCCP series is an annual discussion forum bringing together prominent researchers from various fields including cognitive science, neuro- and psycholinguistics, neuroscience, neuroeconomics and decision making, among others. Each CCCP event has a different focus; the topic of the series we invite you take part in is “Cross-Language Interplay in a Bilingual Mind”. The event will cut across disciplines and methodologies to give a snapshot of the current state-of-the-art in the field and encourage new contacts, ideas and collaborations.
As the situation with travel restrictions across the Globe is quite changeable at the moment, we are planning to hold two meetings. The first online workshop will take part in 10-12 December 2020. During 10th and 11th, we will host a small number of invited lectures/presentations by key figures in the field. Our program for these days also includes shorter talks by members of the CCCP group, presenting ongoing bilingualism research at our laboratory in Moscow, as well as a final round table session for discussion. The third day will held a satellite event supported by the I-Brain Erasmus+ Grant, wider-scope cognitive neuroscience event that will include a student poster session on topics related to bilingualism and culture (see I-Brain Event tab for more information).
The second offline meeting is planned to be held in Moscow in Summer-Fall 2021. We hope that travel restrictions will be fully lifted by then; starting from 2021, citizens of many countries will be able to travel to Russia on an electronic visa making the organizing effort much easier.
The CCCP online seminar is planned for 10-11 December 2020.
